CAPE CANAVERAL, USA, Oct. 21, 2026 - SpaceX has launched the Bandwagon-5 rideshare mission, landing the Falcon 9 first stage booster in the Bahamas exclusive economic zone.[1] Liftoff occurred from Space Launch Complex 40. The mission carries 32 payloads, including CubeSats, microsatellites and reentry vehicles.[2] Prior to launch, the company had targeted a 7:04 a.m. opening for the launch window, and planned to recover the booster on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.[3] [4] Space Nugget. Rideshare missions group multiple small independent payloads onto one rocket, dramatically reducing launch cost for operators that cannot fund an entire dedicated flight.
