The Korea Astronomy Research Institute announced on September 22 that the full moon for the 2026 Chuseok holiday will rise in Seoul at 5:34 PM on September 25.
Chuseok, the Korean harvest festival, is timed to the full moon of the eighth lunar month. The institute's calculation gives a precise moment for the moon's appearance above the horizon in the capital.
The announcement comes ahead of the holiday period. Coupang is running a 'Rocket Fresh Chuseok Gift Set and Holiday Food Discount Sale' through September 25, offering over 4,800 products including gift sets and holiday foods.
