BALTIMORE, US, Oct 19, 2026 - Astronomers have published a new composite image of the NGC 1385 galaxy combining observations from three operating space telescopes. [1] The image merges data from Hubble, the James Webb Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory. An audio visualisation has also been produced using the same combined observation set. [2] Space Nugget. Composite astronomical images combine observations across different wavelengths of light. Each telescope detects radiation invisible to human eyes, with each wavelength band revealing distinct physical structures within the same celestial object.
